Home Delivery: Where We Delivery And Why
For our expanded pilot rollout of the Home Delivery Program, we will only be serving 12 Seattle zip codes. If you try to place an order to a different zip code, you will get an error message. In the future, as we gain experience, we will expand the delivery area, but first, we need to get a better idea of exactly how long it takes us to make each delivery. Home deliveries are quite different in many ways from wholesale deliveries, so we cannot base our expectations accurately on our wholesale experience. The 12 zip codes to which we are now delivering are: 98103, 98105, 98107, 98108, 98112, 98113, 98115, 98117, 98118, 98122, 98134 and 98144.
Currently, as we get comfortable with our new Home Delivery Program, we only deliver to residential addresses that have easily accessible, ground floor entrances with safe, legal parking very close by. And they must have a front stoop, porch or entrance over which you have control. This includes single-family homes, duplexes, etc., but it excludes most larger apartment buildings, and most with common entrances and security entrances. We are able to make some deliveries to non-residential addresses, but with the same restrictions as residential addresses. And our hope is that once we begin to learn in practice what we do not know in planning, we will be able to extend the program to more types of buildings.
